Leadership Team

Greg Gonzalez - President and CEO

Greg provides strategic leadership for SentryOne and is intimately involved with the product design and development.

Greg founded InterCerve in 1997, a successful Microsoft-focused application development and hosting services provider. He created the SQL Sentry business unit in 2004, initially to help InterCerve’s hosting team combat the pain they were experiencing trying to manage over 50 SQL Servers for hosting clients. The software worked so well that a new division was created to continue developing and marketing it.

InterCerve’s hosting division saw strong growth every year until it was acquired by Peak 10 in 2006. Greg and his talented technical team have since focused their energies on SentryOne software with dramatic results, creating multiple disruptive, industry-leading tools for the Microsoft Data Platform.

Greg has a BA in Business Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, OH, and is a Microsoft Data Platform MVP.

Ken Teeter - Executive Vice President

Ken provides strategic direction for SentryOne’s sales and marketing efforts, and manages the financial and operational areas of the organization.

Prior to co-founding SQL Sentry (now SentryOne), Ken led the sales, marketing, and financial initiatives for InterCerve's hosting and development services. Previous experience includes consulting services in the travel and tourism industry, and engineering, sales, and managerial responsibilities at Valassis Communications.

Ken holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC and an MBA from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS.

Nick Harshbarger - Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Nick is responsible for leading SentryOne's worldwide sales and marketing efforts. With over 25 years of sales and sales management experience in various high technology industries, Nick's responsibility is to guide the rapid growth of the SentryOne sales organization and its strategies.

Prior to joining SentryOne, Nick was Vice President of National & Strategic Accounts for Dictaphone - Healthcare Division. Previous experience includes sales management positions with Computer Associates, NEC Computer USA, Tegra Varityper, and Heath/Zenith Computer Systems.

Nick holds a BA degree in Economics from University of Dayton in Dayton, OH.

Brooke Philpott - Director, Software Development

Brooke has led the development team for SentryOne software products since the company's inception. His strengths in multi-threaded programming, visual component development, network programming, and database development have been instrumental to the success of SentryOne software.

Prior to joining SentryOne, Brooke developed desktop and internet applications for the Windows platform with Norman Technologies.

Brooke holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Davidson College in Davidson, NC.

Kevin Kline - Director, Engineering Services

Kevin is responsible for expanding SentryOne's technical sales and marketing initiatives and is also heavily involved in product design activities.

Kevin is a renowned database expert and software industry veteran, a long-time Microsoft SQL Server MVP and noted leader in the IT industry. Kevin is a founder and former president of PASS and the author of popular IT books like SQL in a Nutshell. Kevin is also a top-rated speaker at industry trade shows worldwide.

Prior to joining SentryOne, Kevin was Technical Strategy Manager at Quest Software, where his product designs won numerous awards. Previous experience includes acting as Manager of Information Architecture at Deloitte, Research Scientist for the US Army Missile Command, and Database Specialist for NASA.

Kevin holds a BSBA in Management Information Systems from University of Alabama in Huntsville, AL.

Jason Hall - Director, Product Management

Jason leads SentryOne's Product Management team, which is responsible for managing product design, development, and delivery, and serves as the voice of our customers. Having served SentryOne in both Engineering and Client Services for several years, Jason brings a wide perspective to this role.

Prior to joining SentryOne in 2006, Jason served as a software architect for Wachovia Bank’s online banking system. Previous experience includes application and web development for Sara Lee and JC Penney, and network administration for Wachovia Bank.

Jason’s interest in technology goes back to training on client/server networking and other communications systems for the US Army, where he was also privileged to spend a year on tour with the 82nd Airborne Division's "All American" Chorus.

Steven Wright - Director, Quality Assurance

Steve directs the quality assurance and documentation initiatives at SentryOne. He holds MCSD, MCDBA, OCDBA 8i, and IT Project+ certifications.

Prior to joining SentryOne in 2005, Steve developed and presented web based training courses for Wachovia Bank. Previous experience includes education positions at Techskills and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.

Steve holds a BS degree in Comprehensive Science and Minors in Astrophysics and Classical Studies from Villanova University in Villanova, PA.

Brad Henry - Director, Marketing

Brad Henry is the Director of Marketing for SentryOne. His focus includes marketing strategy, market research, analytics, digital strategy, and brand communications.

Prior to joining SentryOne, Brad served as the Director of Digital Marketing Services for Beacon Technologies where he worked with a broad range of businesses from ecommerce to B2B. During his time at Beacon he architected an advanced attribution system allowing multi-channel retailers to properly attribute offline revenue to digital advertising for more accurate marketing ROI.

Previous experience includes 12+ years of digital analytics, organic strategy, ecommerce, conversion optimization, and digital advertising.

Brad holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Scott Allison - Director, Sales

Scott leads the SentryOne Sales and Account Management teams with responsibility for growing the global business. Scott specializes in technology and solution selling with strategic accounts. He is focused on execution of the sales process and strategy to partner with new clients.

Prior to joining SentryOne Scott was a Senior Advisor for Iron Mountain. His 15 years of experience include previously held positions in Business Operations Consulting, Product Management and Software Sales.

Scott has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
