Why Ireland? Ireland is an ideal market for new expansion thanks to favorable corporate taxes, availability of multilingual professionals and use of the euro as currency. “My experience working in the technology sector in Ireland over the years has shown me that there’s not a better location from which to base our EMEA sales and service efforts,” said Bob Potter, SentryOne CEO. “Ireland has a great reputation as a location for high-growth companies.”
Shortly after the expansion was announced, SentryOne was highlighted in a major media event in Dublin about high-growth companies. The Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland organized the event which included an address by Heather Humphreys, Minister for Business Enterprise and Innovation for Ireland. Michael D’Arcy, minister of state at the Department of Finance in Ireland, was the keynote speaker. Douglas McDowell, SentryOne Chief Strategy Officer, represented SentryOne at both events: “There are obvious tax, language and time zone advantages that go along with opening an international office in Ireland,” said McDowell. “But without the right talent, no company can grow its business. In Ireland we have identified a large pool of technology talent we believe will propel our growth in the Eurozone.” [READ MORE]
