With more than 400,000 customers and hundreds of millions of users, DocuSign is the worldwide leader in providing electronic signature and
digital transformation services. DocuSign’s wide-ranging products and services are all part of their Agreement Cloud, which are designed to digitally-streamline business processes, thereby eliminating paper. Eliminating paper (more than 20 billion sheets) saves DocuSign’s
customers money while also helping to save the environment through DocuSign’s Impact Foundation.
Rapid growth and around-the-clock performance demands sent electronic signature provider DocuSign in search of a robust database performance monitoring solution.
On the advice of its senior DBA, the DocuSign SQL Server team implemented SentryOne SQL Sentry.
With help from SQL Sentry, DocuSign is keeping up with performance demands and delivering the five-nines of reliability that customers expect.
As the leading electronic signature provider, DocuSign’s performance needs have rapidly increased in the past decade to processing over 300,000 transactions per second across all of its sites. In today’s fast-paced, digitally minded world, the ability to electronically sign and send digital documents around the world is in high demand.
No wonder DocuSign has grown to 3,200 employees, with data centers in North America, Europe, South America, and Australia. But as the company outgrew its servers, it also outgrew its performance monitoring application.
“We were outgrowing our servers, the DocuSign platform, the performance of SQL Server, the performance of physical disk I/O... I mean we were outgrowing everything,” McMillian recalls. “We needed a tool that would bring us insights very quickly. Our senior DBA at the time had worked with SQL Sentry before and highly recommended it. So, we brought in SQL Sentry."
